Congrat's to Violet and Martin, I met Violet about 6 months ago at a Bridal Fair and found out that we were related (cousins). Somehow years ago our family separated and I never knew I had more family in the area (what a small world). I ended up shooting her wedding and met lots of great, new family members. We have won 2 more awards at the semi-annual WPPI 8x10 print competition. Here is the official press release: ---------------- Mark Stagi Wins Two Accolade of Excellence in The WPPI 8x10 Print Competition Mark Stagi of San Jose, Ca, has received special honors in the WEDDING & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHERS INTERNATIONAL Semi-Annual Print Competition. Designed to recognize outstanding photographers, the first half of judging was held in Santa Monica, CA, on June 1, 2005. "Passion" and "Pathway of Life" each received an Accolade of Excellence in the Bride and Groom Together category. Mark Stagi competed against photographers from all over the world to win such honors. The WEDDING & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHERS INTERNATIONAL Awards of Excellence Print Competitions are advancing the art of wedding and portrait photography. After the second half of the competition is completed, the Print of the ear awards will be presented at WPPI, the largest trade show, educational platform and convention in the U.S. for Wedding & Portrait Photographers. Cherise and Shawn were married last weekend on Saturday. They had
a great wedding and were both a lot of fun to work with. The
ceromony was at the Palmdale Estates in Fremont and the reception at
the marriot in San Jose. The reception was fun, everyone was on the

Just finished up Jarrod and Beth's wedding album. They were
married in Los Gatos and had the reception at the Arc in Willow

Finally almost done with some remodeling of our place. We have
been working on different parts of the house ever since we moved in 2
years ago and are almost done with every room other than the kitchen
which we have saved for last. Hopefully within the next few
months we will be able to get the kitchen going, but for now I am
done. Here are a few shots of the new dining room with some new
furnature we got :) The last part for this room will be to replace the photo above the fireplace with a plasma TV and then the room can also be used to show proofs to our clients and slideshows of our work. Just finished putting up the first few pages of my wife's new business site http://www.beadsofglory.com She and a few partners are creating custom made jewelry and we just finished doing some quick product photography to get a small selection of images online for everyone to view. They have a bunch of items that aren't shown on the site yet, I just need to get some extra time to take the photo's of all of thier products. Super busy weekend, congrat's to Cherise and Shawn who were married on
Saturday at the Palmdale Estates in Freemont. The Palmdale
estates is a beautiful property with 2 seperate places to get married
and they have a nice pond and scenery for photo's. Kate and Nate were married Sunday in Los Altos and had their reception at the Decathalon Club in Santa Clara. The Decathalon club is a very nice workout club that also has weddings and events in thier main dining area. The dining area is surrounded by windows on one side and an atrium with a stream and flowers on the other side. It is very bright and has some really good natural light for photographs. Jessica and Phil's wedding. I finally had the time to catch up and go through some of the shots from my sister-in-laws wedding. They were married at the beach in Monterey and had a very small casual wedding. The day turned out beautiful and everyone really had a great time. Happy 4th of July to everyone. I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July holiday. Lisa, Drew and I are going to be headed over to Santa Cruz to hang out with my parents and have a little BBQ. Then we are going to check out some fireworks in Scotts Valley or maybe head back to SJ for the firework show here. Will try to post some fireworks photo's up later.
