People always tell me I look and act like my mom. Being a guy, I
have always tried to fight it and tell everyone I think I look and act
more like my dad. But realistically I think I do have a lot of
things in common with my mom and my sister is more like my dad in some
ways. One thing I think I definitely inherited from my mom is a love of gardening. My dad also does like to garden but I think he just helps out because my mom tells him to :) My parents are always planing flowers and a vegetable garden and one thing my mom does is take the seeds from flowers and starts to grow little seedlings in small pots. Over the last few weeks she has been sending over some little flowers for me to plant in the yard, since we have a lot of old bushes and ivy in our yard that I don't really like and have been pulling it out. She gave me about 30 Foxgloves that I have planted and the first batch bloomed for the last couple of weeks, they were really pretty to look at and I had to take some photo's of them. (flowers and photography, go hand in hand for me. I love to plant things and watch them grow, and then once they are blooming I can photograph them) Here are some photo's from the other day:      and while out in the backyard my baby "lucky" came to hang out with me. Here are some shots of Lisa and I in Sonoma. This was taken the
first night at the main downtown park. I just setup the camera on
a post and tried to self time a few photos: Sonoma has a pretty interesting town square, it is literally a square with a park in the middle and then a bunch of restraunts and shops that surround it. It kind of reminds me of the town square in Back to the Future for some reason :) The next day Lisa got a massage at the bed and breakfast we stayed at and I just kicked it in the gardens and read a book. The grounds are really well maintained with a lot of nice flower gardens so I just soaked it all up and got into a good book. It was a pretty short trip, but very relaxing and worth it to get out for a few days and just hang out. My wife and I just celebrated out 5 year anniversary a few weeks
ago! I had a wedding on the actual anniversary date so we
celebrated a few day's later by taking a quick trip to Sonoma. We
have never been to Sonoma and both have a lot going on right now with
work, so just drove up there and spent the day and night and then came
back the next day. Even though it was a quick trip, it was so
relaxing and beautiful. I even left my laptop at home so we could
just chill and hang out together. On our way there we stopped off in Bodega Bay to eat lunch. Ever since watching "The Birds" I have always wanted to go there and see the town for some reason. There isn't really much there, I think the movie was their claim to fame. We just drove around for awhile after that and checked out the scenery and then went up to Sonoma. We stayed at a really beautiful bed and breakfast and just relaxed that evening. Shawn and Lori were married at Testorossa Vineyards in Los Gatos.
Testorossa is a beautiful winery with a great stone wine cave and stone
buildings that made for some great images. They are such a cute
couple and the connection and love they have for each other really came
out in the images. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the

I always have fun at engagement sessions. It is a good time to
get to know the couple more and I always meet such interesting
people. The session is so relaxed and the couple can really be
themselves, and the finished images really show their personalities and

Nick and Georgia has such a nice engagement party. Lots of family
and friends, good food and dancing all night long. Here is

Congrat's to all of the couples we have shot lately.... Matt and Asia (getting married next year). We had a great engagement shot down at Baker beach. It was a fun shoot and I was happy to meet the two of you and get to know you a little bit. Nick and Georgia - you guys had the best Engagement party! Everyone was so much fun and the energy was great. I can't believe everyone stayed on the dance floor all night long. Connie and Bruce (getting married later this year). We had a nice shoot at Natural Bridges in Santa Cruz. You guys are a sweet couple and I wish you the best on your wedding day! Shawn and Lori, were married last Saturday at Testarossa Winery in Los Gatos. They had a very intimate ceremony and reception up there with just close friends and family. The wedding was so much fun, you guys are awesome! We got some great shots of the two of them together you can just tell they are totally in love. Andrea and Randy are getting married later this year and we shot their engagement photo's at the high school where they met. It was a fun shoot to be at a high school, we took a walk down memory lane with them and captured some shots at their favorite hangout's. I will post some images of these sessions up later.
