Here are a few shots from Erin and Pat's Wedding, the wedding turned out great and there were so many cool shots of them, lots of very nice oak tree's at the winery we shot at and also at the reception location. That combined with a cute couple made for some awesome shots: Here is Erin's dress, the detail in the back was just awesome: ![]() a close up of her ring: ![]() The beautiful bride getting ready. Look at how cool that dress looks. Also I softened the image up a little bit and toned it down, it really makes the dress look beautiful ![]() The guys before the ceremony: ![]() ![]() The bride and groom with their beautiful baby Gabriella: ![]() After the ceremony we shot some images of the bride and groom at a local winery, they had a really awesome Oak tree that we used for some cool shots: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This was at the end of the night behind the reception location. We lit the tree's with 2 sperate lights and had 2 other lights on the bride and groom. Not too many people setup multiple lights anymore but you can get such dramatic cool stuff with lighting that is off your camera. This was taken in a pitch dark spot and is probably my favorite shot from the day: ![]() Happy Friday Everyone! -- Mark Fine Art Wedding Photography Posted 10/26/2006 at 1:25 PM |

Julie and Joe were married yesterday at the Presedio in SF. They are such a nice couple and a perfect match for each other, all day they had a huge smile on their faces and you could just see the love in their eye's. It was a great wedding to capture and we were able to get some great shots of the two of them by the golden gate bridge and throughout the presedio. I'll post some images for everyone to see later on this week. -- Mark Posted 10/22/2006 at 4:18 PM |

I always get asked if we can do baby photography and Familly portraits, and the answer is always of course! We do have a gallery on our website for Baby Photography and Familly Photography but I do admit that I focus more on wedding photography and talk more about it than anything else so people sometimes think we only do weddings. Weddings do keep us very busy so we don't actively pursue a lot of new baby business but it is something that we do photograph all of the time. Here are some baby shots that I really liked and also a link to our Baby Photography Club where you can get discounts on your baby photography. Click here for more information on San Jose Baby Photography. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() -- Mark Fine Art Portrait Photography Posted 10/18/2006 at 8:3 PM |

James and Colette were married a few weeks ago up at Roaring Camp, which was such a fun place to get married at. Roaring Camp is up in the Santa Cruz Mountains in Felton, Ca and is a little place tucked in the redwoods that has a train and a few buildings that were created to give you an old west feel. They had the ceremony up in a redwood grove and all of the guests actually got to take the train from the main train station up the hills to a cool redwood grove where the ceremony was. Afterwards the train took everyone back down and the reception was at the town hall building right in the middle of the camp. Here are some shots from the day: Detail shot of the shoes that I really liked: ![]() The schoolhouse where the girls got ready at: ![]() Colette leaving the schoolhouse to get into the train: ![]() The ceremony at the redwood grove ![]() James and Colette met in the theater and a lot of their bridal party are into the theater so we had a fun animated group to work with :) ![]() James in front of the reception location: ![]() ![]() -- Mark View our Wedding Photography News Posted 10/17/2006 at 10:21 PM |

There are so many beautiful places to shoot engagement photo's in San Francisco. Here are a few sites that really work well. Palace of Fine Arts: Wonderful Classic Architecture, provides a stunning backdrop for photo's. Here are a few photo's taken from there, the palace of fine arts has a ton of possibilities for photo's, these are just a few samples of some of the spots there. ![]() ![]() ![]() Baker Beach: If you are looking for a beach shoot with a wonderful backdrop baker beach is the place. You can't get a better backdrop than the golden gate bridge. ![]() ![]() Also if you walk over to the other side of the beach there are some very cool rocks to shoot at that make for some really great photo's also: ![]() ![]() Another nice spot for nature enthusiasts is Golden Gate Park. There are a lot of very nice places to photograph at golden gate park, one of them is Stowe Lake which is a large lake with a very nice big waterfall: ![]() Another spot with very cool architecture is the legion of honor (they also have some very good art so you can always get there before the shoot and enjoy a day at a nice museum) The columns are always nice to shoot in: ![]() And when in San Francisco you never know when the fog will roll in, but I think it can sometimes add a nice dramatic light to the photo's and give them a very soft romantic feel, here is the legion of honor in a very different light from the photo's above: ![]() ![]() A few other places I would suggest are Crissy fields which is just on the other side of the golden gate from Baker beach, so you get a view from the other side and have some nice fields in the foreground. Also the presedio has some nice older buildings that will give more of an edgy feel to them. There are ton's of other places to shoot at in San Francisco I could probably write a book. If you want people in them you can go down to fishermans wharf, the possibilities are endless. -- Mark Posted 10/17/2006 at 12:16 PM |

Here are a couple images from Mike and Renee's wedding at Leal Vineyards in Hollister. Leal has a house at the top of the hill that overlooks the vineyards and they are now doing weddings up there as well as the bottom section where the vineyard is at. It has great views and lots of wonderful spots to take photo's and is a perfect spot for a small wedding. Also for anyone getting married in the future and looking for a venue, check out http://www.bayareaweddingresources.com/. I started this awhile back to show photo's of venues we have worked at to help you in your wedding planning. There are more and more sites we are adding to this so check back often. Here are some images from Leal Vineyards: Here is renee before the ceremony at the main suite. The room is so well decorated it looks straight out of a williams sonoma book: ![]() The ceremony overlooking the vineyard: ![]() Mike and the bridesmaids: ![]() Mike and Renee: ![]() ![]() Mike and Renee on their bike. This also was at night and lit 100% artificial. We have been having some fun with night shots lately and shooting with 3 q flashes to light up the building or other items. These shots were fun since they are both into their bikes so we were able to capture that in a different way by shooting it at night. ![]() -- Mark Fine Art Wedding Photography Posted 10/9/2006 at 7:16 PM |

It was a busy weekend with 2 great weddings. On Saturday we had Collette and James wedding at Roaring Camp in Felton. Roaring Camp is like an old west town recrated and the cool thing was they got married up at the top of the hill in a redwood grove so everyone got to take a train up to the ceremony site through the redwoods. James and collette are such a cool couple and the day turned out so great, everyone was having a blast all day! On Sunday we had Brian and Guanguna'swedding in san jose. We took some shots of the 2 of them beforehand and they are such a cute couple. Everytime they looked at each other you could just see the happiness radiate in their face, too cute for words. The ceremony was at their church and then everyone went to a restaurant in Mountain View for the reception. Photo's to come soon, hopefully I can get on another posting roll again :) Have a wonderful week. -- Mark Posted 10/2/2006 at 11:15 AM |
