It took me awhile but I finally ran 100 miles!  Click the link below for proof I made it to 100 miles :) I know the pace is still pretty slow and need to pick that up before the Wharf to Wharf come up in the summer.  Also just to remind everyone if you want to run the wharf to wharf with me let me know, hopefully we can get a good group of people together.  I am going to print up some shirts also so we can all wear matching stagi imagery shirts :)  just let m know if you plan on running it and I will send you a shirt.

Congratulations!

Run 100 miles? Not so much. But I'll be waiting at the finish line with the drinks.

MarK:

You didn't need to run a 100 miles man...I would've given you a lift...gee-wiz. Ha! But really, why do you run Forest? What purpose does running that far and messing up your knees, legs, ankles, back etc?  One of our best friends who was in tip top shape was a runner and a big outdoorsman..he died of a heart attack one day. No joke, he was only 40 years old and we all thought in perfect health. Our bodies were not designed to be pushed and hammered like they do when people run these kind of distances. Be careful, you mees up your temple, who's going to be shooting your weddings in Sacramento and elswhere?!

congrats!

you went from downtown LA to UCSD
actually you should be able to see the campus. LOL!

The 100 miles were over months (many, many months) of time so don't worry everyone I am not that extreme
and am taking good care of my body :)

Here are a few more shots from Cameron's wedding.  This was such a beautiful wedding and everyone just glowed all day long.  This year is turning out to be such a great year for weddings so far, I am truly blessed to have the best clients to work with.

This wedding was at the Arden Hills Resort and Spa in the new building they just built,
very beautiful place to get married.

Hey Mark,

What are you doing shooting here in Sacramento?? Stay in San Jose! Business is hard enough to get here as it is already! ha!!

Oh, I just checked out her TIFFANY ring! Wow...big bucks. Would like to see a web show of this job. I have three weddings at Ardens new venue this summer. Did they let you shoot inside too? I didn't see any shots next to the fountain that is around the corner of the house there.

I told everyone I would post my nike + goals online so everyone can see my running status.
I will keep this updated a few times a week and hopefully since people are reading this that  will
keep me motivated to get out and run more often.  Also I am going to be running the Wharf to Wharf in
July so need to be in decent shape by then.

Here is my April goal for miles, I have taken a few days off so hopefully will get out there today.
For May though I need to pick up the pace and will set a goal of 30 miles in May (right now I run about 3 times a week anywhere from 1-3 miles a time)

Issac and Jessie had an amazing wedding on Saturday down in Monterey and Carmel.
The weather was so perfect all day long and started to drizzle a little once everyone went inside
for the reception.  The wedding was at the Carmel Mission which is such a beautiful building, we got to
start a little early photographing the bridal party separately and I know are going to have some great images
of them at the church.  After the church the entire bridal party got on a Trolley and cruised 17 mile drive, stopping a few places for photos.  It was such a fun trip and the trolley driver was just a comedian, he had us all laughing the entire trip.  The reception was at the Monterey plaza and everything there was just perfect.

You guys are such a great couple, I had a blast at the wedding!  Congratulations and I hope you
have a great honeymoon.

It sounds truly idyllic, Mark! I enjoy photographing weddings so much, but here in the UK we have less-than-perfect weather a lot of the time! Will some of the photos be going on your web site?

Kind regards,

We are going to be having a special for the rest of April for any brides who add our iPod slideshows
to your wedding package.    Podproofing
Here is some more information about the iPod video slideshows:

His and Her's customized video iPods. As an add on to any of our 2007 wedding packages you can have your own pair of the new video iPods engraved with your name and wedding date. The iPods are also preloaded with a customized movie of images from your wedding day and 200 photo's of your day that you can scroll through using the photo function of the iPod. This is such and awesome way to share your photo's with your friends and family and you can take it everywhere with you. Just think about how easy it will be to share your wedding images with all of your friends by simply showing them a movie on your iPod. The normal cost for the entire package is $1200 and if you add this to your package by the end of this month I will take off $100.  Also if you already have a iPod Video you can just purchase the movie and formatted photo's for $500 (normal price is $600)

Not sure if you were going for it, but you definitely achieved that "high quality, next-generation yet old-fashioned, Hasselblad-using photographer" kinda ambiance very well, in my opinion. Awesome!

I am from San Jose/Santa Cruz but I don't get down there enough.  Thanks for posting this and if you post more, I will have to watch out for them.  It will give me a good excuse to get down there.  What area of San Jose is it?  I am from the Blossom Hill/Santa Teresa area.  Also thanks for your wonderful comment on my last post, I really appreciate it.

Cami and Chung were married on Saturday in Sacramento at the Arden Hills Resort.  The day turned out so beautiful, thanks for having me a part of your day.  The location just finished a new building that had a mix between a Tuscan feel and a French country feel, it was a beautiful location and they were married right in the back of the building in a nice courtyard.  I know there are going to be some amazing shots from the day, i'll post a few images later on in the week!
