Here are some images from Peter and Ambers wedding at the Ranch in San Jose. Joey photographed this wedding a few weeks ago and even though there was some threat of rain the day turned out wonderful. The ranch is really a beautiful spot to get married at, very picturesque and beautiful views.

Here are a few images from the day:

Very nice use of flash on the third to and last photos. I think the second to last photo might look better as a full-on silhouette instead of still being able to see the color of his shirt and tie. Maybe?

Your photos are gorgeous, as always but just curious as to where in San Jose is The Ranch located?

We have been editing so much over here and working on album non stop that I haven't had much to to post some images.  There are ton's of great recent weddings  we have to share and I'll post some images, slideshows and cool album designs this weekend.

Here is a recent slideshow from Yoali and Javier's wedding at the Historic Dunsmuir House in Oakland.
The Dunsmuir house is a beautiful place to get married at with towering trees, lush gardens and a majestic turn-of-the-century mansion.

Sunday October 14, 2007
Last weekend was such a fun weekend of weddings, I have been so busy catching up this past week that I didn't have anytime to post about our past weekend so here is a brief run down.  Once I have more time I will post some images:

Friday we photographed Valerie and Josh's wedding at the Decathalon Club in San Jose.  They are such a fun couple, I was able to shoot 2 engagement shoots with them over the past year so when the wedding date came along it was so easy to photograph them (They had a very beautiful, elegant wedding) it was a great way to start the weekend off.

Saturday I was at David and Lauras wedding in downtown San Jose.  They had a beautiful church ceremony at St. Josephs and then the reception at the St. Claire.  I haven't been to the St. Claire in awhile since they renovated the courtyard and it was really nice.  David and Laura I think had the best first dance I have seen in awhile, David broke into a little Michael Jackson routine halfway through and it was great, they both put on a good show!
Joey was over in Santa Cruz on Saturday at the Chaminade for Amanda and Scotts wedding.  It looks like it was a fun wedding with lots of cool Disney themed things at the reception.

And we ended the weekend up in Oakland for Trang and Rons wedding.  They had a nice tea ceremony in the morning at a nice downtown hotel and then another ceremony and reception at the Dunsmuir House.  They had an awesome band at the reception that kept everyone dancing.  It was a wonderful wedding and a great way to end the weekend.

Monday I did have to sleep in a little bit and then all week have been back at the editing station, cranking away at weddings and albums.

Once I get caught up this week I will post more details and photos.

I can't believe that the wedding season is starting to wind down. This summer has been packed with so many great weddings I think I will start having wedding withdrawls soon. The winter season we have a lot of albums to finish up and family portraits so thingsare still very busy but I will miss having a wedding every weekend. There were so many great weddings lately I got spoiled and am already looking forward to next year! I loked at my calendar earlier and this weekend was my 28th straight wekend with at least 1 wedding (and this weekend we had 4 weddings between myself and joey) what a great way to wind down the season. There were some beautiful weddings this weekend so I will share more later.

This wedding was so fun and unique.  It was the first time I shot a wedding at bonfonte gardens (actually gilroy gardens now) and it is really a great place to get married.  Inside the park they have a very seculed place to have your reception so you don't even know you are in the park, it's quiet and surrounded by trees and greenery.   And then the cool thing is if you want to take some photos in the park and have fun you can, they will even let you ride on the rides.  Here are a few shots from their day, congratulations guys!!!

We started the day off playing a few games with the guys and riding the roller coaster:

Here are a few shots of the beautiful bride before the wedding:

Here is Andrew as he got his first glimpse of Sarah walking down the Aisle:

and the awesome site for the ceremony:

Afterwards we were able to get Sarah and Andrew on one of the cars to take a little ride:

and then the whole bridal party on the merry go round:

Sarah really likes waterfalls and  Bonfonte has a bunch, so we stopped on one right before
the reception started:

The reception site is really nice with lots of trees and flowers surrounding you, here are some
shots of the reception:

At the end of the night we setup a few lights to capture some shots that I really liked.

Looks like an amazing location for a shoot -- have had museum locations but never an amusement park. Lucky you and hopeful me for the future!
Great job.

We captured some great images at Justin and Jackie's wedding.  The bridal party was a blast to work with and the bride and groom were so good in front of the camera.  Their wedding was at the Corinthian Center in San Jose

The Corinthian center is right in downtown San Jose and a beautiful spot to get married at.

Holly Sha-molly Mark!  That has to be one of the best looking couples and bridal parties I've seen in a LONG time! You did an outstanding job with all of the images I saw on your show and Im sure all the rest are amazing as well. I haven't shot at the club for so many years, its nice to see that they had some theatrical colored lighting indoors, it really helps that huge room.

Your Bride and her Bridemaids...WOW..Hot, Hot, hot! A bunch of beauties you lucky boy!Or Should I say Lucky and Blessed Justin!!

Great photography as always!!!

Me gusta tu estilo espontaneo de tomar las fotografias, como siempre son excelentes, sobre todo del uso del gran angular.

Sorry for the bad photo quality, I normally don't post camera phone photos but every once in awhile I
don't have time to grab my camera so just use my phone for a quick shot.  Most of you that have visited the studio know that I have 2 cats, since one is usually creeping around  vying to attention.  Sometimes they are just so interesting to watch and I love to observe how they interact with each other.  Usually they are chasing each other around and fighting but today they were both knocked out on the bed (but with some space between, only once I have caught them sleeping side by side)
Anyways for  those who haven't seen our two kitties here they are sleeping the day away:

jajaja, lo que importa es la captura del momento, no importa la calidad de imagen y fíjate que a pesar de ser tomada con un telefono celular, encuentro que la calidad es buena y como tu dices: es la primera vez que los ve separados y eso es lo que cuenta, que por fin no compiten por el mismo lugar. Gracias por alegrar mi día con tan espontanea imagen.

Here are a few images from Jeff and Jae's wedding at Villa Montalvo in Saratoga.  Montalvo is a beautiful spot to get married, very elegant.

Here is Jae at the start of the day, getting ready at Villa Montalvo

Jeff had to play a few games before the ceremony started, here he had to write a note to Jae with the pen in his mouth :)

Here is a shot of the ceremony site at Montalvo

One image that I loved of Jae in the main bridal room

and a few more images of the ceremony site:

Jeff and the Guys

A few of Jeff and Jae around the grounds at Montalvo

I love trying to use the sun in unconventonal ways and get some cool
looking lens flare in the shot

The dinner from above:

Jae has such a wonderful smile:

I loved this shot as they held each others hand during the toasts, so cute!

More wedding photos to come later.

Great images, those are incredible. I would love to photograph at a location like that.

Such a beautiful wedding, then they had to use those crummy white plastic folding chairs for the ceremony! I can't beleive that the venue dosent have the beautiful bamboo chairs for what they charge for that place. The couple looks so happy and your photographs of them are wonderful!!!

Gracias Mark. Muy buenos retratos, me gusta el manejo que tu le das al lente gran angular, sabes donde usarlo y cuando.  Excelente manejo en lo que respecta a las tomas casuales o cándidas, sabes capturar esos momentos en el momento preciso.

Today I am going to catch up on posting some images finally.  Here are just a couple from Lawrence and Marissa's wedding that Joey shot.  There are so many fun  images from this wedding I couldn't decide on what to post but here is a very small sample.  I'll post some more images later today from our other weddings.

Here is Lawrence with all of the guys:

and Marissa with her Girls:

They shot at Santana Row during the day in between the Ceremony and Reception.
Santana Row has some awesome spots for images but instead of doing them like
everyone else and just using the backgrounds and natural light, he setup some quick
lights and gave the images way more impact than normal.  Lighting is so key to good
photography and these images really pop with the help of the lighting that was used.

Have a great day!

Congrat's to James and Arma who were married on Saturday!  What a fun wedding.  They had a beautiful ceremony at Rios Lovell winery in Livermore and then the reception at Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton.
