There are so many beautiful locations that have sprung up in the Livermore area over the last few years
and this past  year I think we photographed about 15-20 weddings in the surrounding Livermore area.
Once location that we were able to shoot 3 times this past year was the Palm Events center, which is such a great place to get married at.  They have a wonderful brick building and a really cool wine barrel room, lots of very cool places to shoot at and have your wedding at.  Here is one of our weddings from the Palm Events Center.

Sure is nice when the weather is good out at the Palm Events Center! I was there this past Jan 4, 2008 when we had that huge storm and only got three outdoor shots at night when the rain slowed down a little and the winds wern't blowing 60mph!

I would love to book another wedding there in the spring or summer and really have a chance to capture the beauty of the property they have and the surrounding areas as well. Your wedding looked like a blast, great photography!!!

Here is the next addition to the Stagi Imagery team. Technology is so cool and it just amazes me to see a little
living human right inside of my wifes belly. The ultrasound we had before this one the baby was moving around a lot more, but today he (or she) was pretty still most of the time. We went to a different office to get some genetic tests done and they can record the ultrasound to give you on DVD, so here is the new addition to the Stagi Family...

Testarossa Vineyards is a beautiful winery located in Los Gatos, Ca. The main building has the feel of a wonderful Tuscan winery and is perfect for intimate weddings.  Here is a video from a wedding at Testarossa, we have been able to photograph this location a bunch of times and really love working here, everyone is so friendly and great to work with and the location is just gorgeous.

Everyone have a great week.-- Mark

Here is a video from a wedding we shot at Montalvo Arts Center.  Montalvo Arts Center is located in Saratoga, Ca and a beautiful spot to get married at.  Montalvo Arts Center was previously known as Villa Montalvo, a historic
landmark built in 1912 by James Duval Phelan (1861-1930). Phelan, a
passionate Californian who had been a three-term progressive mayor of
San Francisco, went on to become California's first popularly-elected
U.S. Senator.  There are so many beautiful backdrops here for your wedding from the classic mansion to the wonderful garden areas.  Check out this video from a recent wedding we photographed at Montalvo:

here is an update on some of the recent shoots we have had.  There have been some great family portraits lately we have been photographing and an engagement shoot....

here are a couple images from an engagement shoot at Vasona Park in Los Gatos

We also shot a sisters portrait.  It was a fun session and we were able to capture some cute
shots of these sisters and thier interaction.  This was shot at their house, I really like to shoot at clients homes sometimes there are so many personal parts about the house that I think really make a special
portrait:

I also got to shoot one of my friends family portraits, one candid shot I loved
was a quick shot of his daughter in between shots.  It is always so amazing to watch a family
grow and I can't believe how quick kids can grow up sometimes:

I'm with you, creating portraits at a location that is meaningful to the client is much better. Adds value to their finished artwork. I'm still waiting to find the client that a location in the islands or Europe is their most meaningful place Nice. -Jeff

Here is a little slideshow from a recent wedding at Thomas Fogarty Winery.  Fogarty is such a beautiful place to get married at, there are amazing views from up there, beautiful vines just a perfect spot to have a wedding at.  This wedding was a fall wedding and with the turning of colors made for some beautiful images of the bride and groom:

Monday February 18, 2008
This year I told myself I would keep the blog updated at least 3-4 times a week, there are always so many cool people I get to shoot and tons of stuff I like to share with everyone about what I am up to.  I know the last few weeks I have been slacking off on the blog but have good excuses this time.  This year the circle of life has really come all of the way around in my family.  So let me get everyone up to speed on everything that I have been dealing with over the past few weeks.

First let me start off with the good news of the year (that we actually found out on January 1st, which was the
best way to start off the New Year), my wife is pregnant and we are going to be having our first baby.  After being married for 7 years we are now finally ready to have kids and are so excited to be bringing a new Stagi into this world.   We had an ultrasound on Friday, the baby is 3" long and was moving around like crazy, kicking, stretching his (or hers) arms around, it was one of the most exciting things I have seen in my life.  To see this little baby moving around at just a little under 3 months is really amazing.  My wife has been pretty sick the last couple of months but thank GOD is starting to feel a little better and getting back to somewhat of a normal life.  I will share more (and tons of photos) to come.

On a more sad note, my wonderful Grandmother passed away 2 weeks ago and we just had her funeral last wednesday.  My grandmother was a beautiful person and a huge part of my life.  We had a very special connection and I spent a lot of time with my grandma.  I love her a lot and will miss her.  She did get to live to the age of 97 and I am very thankful to have had her with me on this earth for that long.
There are so many wonderful memories I have of her and was able to speak at her funeral and share some stories with everyone at the service.   Even though death at any age isn't easy, I know that I will see my grandmother again and am thankful for the time that I did get to spend with her on this temporary earth.
She taught me a lot about loving others and I think helped to form me into the man I am today.

Our family did get to end this week on a positive note celebrating the wedding of my sister Michelle.  The wedding turned out perfect and I was able to see so many family and friends I haven't seen in a long time.   It was a really beautiful day and I am happy that my sister has found her husband.   The wedding was at Peachwoods in Santa Cruz and it was a beautiful sunny day there!  There are a ton of great shots that our assoicate photographer Joey shot at the wedding that I will have to post to the blog this coming week and even a few fun shot of me on the dance floor :)

This week things should be getting back to normal, so i'll keep the postings up on a regular basis.

Hope everyone has a great week!
